WAUSAU — Youth boxers from the Electric City Chuters boxing club claimed a second straight state title last weekend in Wausau.
The Chuters, whose gym is at 514 Draper St. in Kaukauna, sent a state record 40 boxers to the Wisconsin State Silver Gloves Tournament Dec. 20-21 in Rothschild.
The team had 22 state title winners, with 12 advancing to regional action in the 2026 Regional Silver Gloves tournament Jan. 15-17 in Minneapolis.
The 12 Chuters participating will compete against state champions from Minnesota-South Dakota-North Dakota.
