MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers will host the LA Dodgers Monday in the first game of the NLCS after defeating the Cubs 3-1 to take the NLDS 3-2.
Milwaukee scored first on a William Contreras homer in the opening inning, but the Cubs’ Seiya Suzuki came back with a homer of his own in the second.
Andrew Vaughn put the Brewers back on top with a fourth inning homer to regain the lead at 2-1.
Brice Turang added another home run in the seventh, again with two outs.
That proved to be enough of a cushion to keep Milwaukee’s season going.
The series is airing only on TBS, so cord cutters will have to look at getting a streaming service to watch the games.
Here are a couple of free or low-cost options:
YouTube TV currently has a 21-day free promotion, which will get fans deep into the playoffs. This only works if you haven’t done a free promo with them previously.
After that, it’s $82.99 per month unless you cancel.
After that, if the Brewers are still in it, Sling.com offers one-day, weekend and other passes.
The one-day pass is only $4.99. (Way cheaper than a playoff ticket)
