FREEDOM — A storage building is deemed a total loss after fire Wednesday near Freedom.
According to a news release, the Freedom Fire Department was dispatched about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a fully involved structure fire in a storage unit at the corner of Industrial Drive and Parkway Lane just south of Freedom.
Center Fire, Vandenbroek-Kaukauna Fire & Rescue along with a ladder truck from the Appleton Fire Department and an engine from the Grand Chute Fire Department were also dispatched immediately as a result of auto-aid.
Freedom EMS & Gold Cross ambulance were also dispatched.
First arriving units found a foyr-unit storage facility fully involved. Fire attack began immediately in an attempt to contain the fire to the building or origin.
Additional resources were dispatched through the MABAS system.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The building is a total loss. All units were clear from the call at 9:08 p.m.
