KAUKAUNA — The County J interchange in Kaukauna is now open to traffic as of Wednesday morning, according to the Wisconsin DOT.
Improvements have been made to the bridge over I-41, the ramps, and the roundabouts in the interchange.
The work on Highway J is part of a major reconstruction project on I-41.
Along with the entrance and exit ramps, the Highway J project replaced pavement, constructed bicycle and pedestrian accommodations and improved roundabouts to accommodate oversize/overweight vehicles.
Also this week, the southbound I-41 off-ramp to Wisconsin 96 in Appleton is scheduled to open on Aug. 29.
