FREEDOM — A two-vehicle crash Sunday in the town of Freedom sent a Pulaski woman to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to a news release, deputies with the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office were called out about 6:30 p.m. Sunday to a crash involving two vehicles near the intersection of State Highway 55 and Greiner Road in the Town of Freedom.
Investigators say the first vehicle was traveling north on Highway 55 and was struck by the second vehicle traveling west on Greiner Road.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office said the driver of the second vehicle, a 26-year-old man, failed to stop for the stop sign at Greiner Road and Highway 55. The driver of the first vehicle, a 57-year-old woman from Pulaski sustained serious injuries.
Both people were transported to nearby hospitals by Gold Cross Ambulance Service for their injuries.
The roadway was closed for approximately one and a half hours.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. Further investigation is taking place into the incident.
The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Town of Freedom First Responders, Town of Freedom Fire Department, and Gold Cross Ambulance Service.
