WRIGHTSTOWN — If you travel I-41 frequently between Appleton and Green Bay, you’ve noticed the construction taking place next to the highway near Wrightstown.
The new Wisconsin State Patrol Northeast Region Post and Safety and Weight Enforcement Facility is beginning to take shape, according to an update from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
The village of Wrightstown in 2022 approved annexing nearly 20 acres of land from the town of Kaukauna for the facility.
The facility will include a new two-story building to house the SWEF and State Patrol’s relocated Northeast Region Post headquarters. Construction is expected to be completed in summer 2026.
