KAUKAUNA — Former Kaukauna Ghosts softball standout Kally Meredith was named Thursday to the Conference USA pre-season all-conference team, the league announced.
Meredith, a sophomore outfielder at Florida Atlantic University, was the only member of her team to make the list.
Meredith helped lead the Ghosts to the WIAA Division 1 state softball championships in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
As a freshman, Meredith was honored with selection to both the All-CUSA Second Team and CUSA All-Freshman squads.
She ended the season with a .383 batting average, which ranked fifth in CUSA and 123rd nationally. She also ranked 65th in the nation and second in CUSA with 21 stolen bases.
The Panthers finished last season at 21-29 and 8-16 in the conference.

Defending CUSA regular season and tournament champion Liberty has been voted by the league’s head coaches as the favorite to repeat as league champions.
The Lady Flames account for the Preseason Player and Pitcher of the Year in senior outfielder Rachel Roupe and senior pitcher Elena Escobar.
