OSHKOSH — An Oshkosh man was arrested Thursday after police say he shot a gun inside a retail store that sells firearms, police said.

The suspect, a 40-year-old man, was located nearby and taken into custody without incident.

The investigation revealed that the suspect, despite the store’s security measures including trigger locks and a cable system, managed to load and fire the weapon, causing property damage.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect was arrested and possibly faces charges of endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was being held at the Winnebago County Jail.
