APPLETON — The all-new season of Wisconsin Life on PBS Wisconsin takes viewers on a trip around the state to visit their neighbors and uncover their unique stories.

A Hmong dance class taught by Duabci Crystal Vang at the DC Dance Academy in Appleton is featured in a new episode.

The program airs at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 on PBS Wisconsin and streaming online at pbswisconsin.org/wilife and on the free PBS app on all streaming devices and smart TVs.

Host Angela Fitzgerald connects the audience with people whose passions, experiences and expertise celebrate the best of Wisconsin. Episodes will continue to air and stream Thursday nights through December.

Duabci Crystal Vang teaches Hmong dance to Fox Valley youth, blending traditional styles with modern influences. Emphasizing the cultural stories behind the movements and committing to preserving the Hmong language, Vang creates a community where students grow from reluctant beginners to passionate performers, all while celebrating their roots.

This season, Fitzgerald will also cross the state to explore the Wisconsin Concrete Park in Phillips, Yerkes Observatory in Williams Bay, Circus World in Baraboo, Northern Wisconsin State Fair in Chippewa Falls and more. The Wisconsin Life team uncovers and introduces creative and innovative people from all parts of the state and all walks of life.
