As residents in northeast Wisconsin prepare for another round of possibly strong storms later on Friday, a fund has been established to help victims of the devastating flooding.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, thunderstorms, some severe with locally heavy rain, will develop from west to east this afternoon and evening.

A period of drier weather will follow for the weekend into early next week, giving flood ravaged communities some needed relief.

A donation portal to help communities affected by the flooding in western Outagamie County and surrounding area is expected to go live Friday at the United Way Fox Cities web page. The Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region is helping facilitate. https://unitedwayfoxcities.org/

Flood level in Nichols is down two feet, according to Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson. Water level in Shiocton has risen by a few inches and is expected to crest at 15 feet Friday morning.

There was a large turnout of volunteers at Ellington Fire Station Thursday filling sandbags. Over 60,000 sand bags filled at all Outagamie locations in 48 hours, according to Nelson

Gov. Tony Evers toured the area Thursday after declaring a state of emergency to help communities affected by the flooding.
