OSHKOSH — An employee of an Oshkosh business sustained non-life threatening injuries during a Thursday morning robbery attempt.

According to a news release, officers from the Oshkosh Police Department responded about 6:25 a.m. Thursday to a robbery at a business in the 1300 block of Oshkosh Ave.

When they arrived, officers found an employee who had been stabbed. The employee was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, a 23-year-old man from Oshkosh, was still on the scene and taken into custody, according to the news release.

He was later booked into the Winnebago County Jail and faces possible charges of Armed Robbery, 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, and Bail Jumping.

The incident is still under investigation, and detectives are continuing to follow up.
