KAUKAUNA — In a city known for its championship streaks in sports, Kaukauna’s Aaron Schmike is has a nice streak of his own going.

The 2023 Kaukauna High School graduate has now won the Fox Firecracker 5k three years in a row, this year with a time of 16:18.2.

Schimke finished first in 2023 and 2022 and third in 2021. He currently attends the University of North Florida.

Mazie Olkowski of Neenah won the women’s race with a time of 19:43.1.

Other notable finishers from Kaukauna include:

Allison Vanderwegen and Victoria Fischer finished first and second in the 15-19 women’s division. Vanderwegen was 18th overall and Fischer was 19th overall.

Joshua Munson finished 2nd in the men’s 12-14 division, 14th overall.

Noah Lau finished 7th in the 15-19 men’s division and 16th overall.

Megan Vancamp won the women’s 25-29 division, 65th overall.

Heather Kavanaugh won the women’s 45-49 division, 135th overall

Glenn Hansen finished 2nd in the men’s 80 and up division, 986th overall
