KIMBERLY – Diamond Rio, a six-time Vocal Group of the Year winner and multi-platinum country music legends, will headline Paperfest 2024 at Sunset Park in Kimberly, promoters announced Thursday.
The multi-award winning country group will play a free concert Thursday July 18, 2024 in the Fox Cities with huge hits like “Meet in the Middle,” “One More Day,” and “Beautiful Mess.”
This year’s festival runs July 18-21, 2024.
Diamond Rio became the first country music group in history to reach No. 1 with a debut single – “Meet in The Middle” and it did not stop there.
Selling more than 6.8 million albums and surpassing over 1.05 billion global streams, Diamond Rio has charted 20 Top 10 Singles and Seven No. 1 Singles.
The band has won many of music’s top honors including six Vocal Group of the Year awards, fourteen Grammy nominations, won a Grammy for their album, The Reason, and are a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
The concert begins with Smoke Road at 5 p.m. Smoke Road is the fastest growing country cover band in Wisconsin.
They will bring their energetic performance to the Paperfest stage playing a perfect blend of today’s hits and yesterday’s greats. Diamond Rio closes out the night on the Event Production Systems Sunset Stage at 8:30pm. The free concert is sponsored by Community First Credit Union.
The 36th annual free-admission event offers something for the whole family with a food truck rally, hot air balloon glow, carnival rides ($1 rides on Sunday), riverboat cruises, axe throwing, helicopter rides, kids’ zone, and so much more.
As the sun goes down, the lights go up in a big way with 30+ free live music acts across three stages including national recording artists and local favorites.
The music is great, the beer is cold, but the best part is the proceeds from Paperfest are donated back into the community through various local nonprofit organizations.
