KAUKAUNA — Groundwork for the new playground at La Follette Park in Kaukauna is set to begin the week after Easter.
The new playground equipment will have accessibility features including a universal swing and lower transfer platforms for the user to ease into each play structure, according to a news release from the city.
The ground surface will also be rubberized to allow mobility devices to access the equipment.
The new playground is expected to be completed in June.
The existing playground equipment will still be available for use while the new equipment is being built.
The work area will be fenced off; please remain mindful of work crews.
