Catholic classical school welcomes accomplished Catholic school leader, educator as next leader
KAUKAUNA – St. Ignatius Catholic School and Chesterton Academy has announced Andrew Mulloy as the headmaster for the 2024-25 school year, effective July 1, 2024.
As headmaster, Mulloy will lead St. Ignatius—the Fox Valley’s only Catholic classical school—as well as specifically oversee the lower school (grades 3K-4.)
“I am blessed to have this new opportunity to build on the great legacy of Catholic education in the Kaukauna community. The joyfully Catholic, classical school mission of St. Ignatius is exactly what we need in our Church. I look forward to working with the strong leadership and teaching teams, as we work together to partner with parents and families to help their children grow as great thinkers, virtuous leaders and intentional disciples of Christ,” Mulloy said in a news release.
Mulloy comes to St. Ignatius from the Green Bay Area Catholic Education School System, where he currently serves as superintendent.
Prior to that, Mulloy was a principal for six years at St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Howard, Wis., and a teacher at multiple middle school and elementary school grade levels. He is committed to Catholic, classical education, and he and his wife currently send their three children to a Catholic classical school. He also served as interim headmaster of St. John Paul II Classical School in Green Bay earlier this school year.
Mulloy also has experience as a faith leader, as a captain of the Troops of St. George, nursing home service leader, Knights of Columbus member and active parishioner at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay. He has also been a speaker at Catholic youth events and member of several Catholic school boards within the Diocese of Green Bay. Mulloy earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, his master’s degree in educational leadership from Cardinal Stritch University and an executive certificate from the University of Notre Dame.
“We were blessed to have received several qualified applicants whose commitment to Catholic, classical education … were evident throughout the headmaster search and interview process. We are excited to announce Mr. Drew Mulloy as the new headmaster for St. Ignatius,” St. Ignatius Board of Trustees Chair Peter McClone and Fr. Luke Ferris shared in an announcement letter to St. Ignatius faculty, staff and families on April 3.
