UPDATE 10 a.m. Thursday: Most of the Town of Vandenbroek has seen power restored.

KAUKAUNA — Utility crews are continuing work Thursday to rebuild powerlines in the towns of Kaukauna and Vandenbroek following the winter storm.

Tuesday’s storm brought wet, heavy snow mixed with gusty winds that caused extensive damage to areas of the Kaukauna Utilities service territory.

Due to the damage, power lines need to be completely rebuilt.

Currently 23 lineworkers in from seven different municipal utilities a working primarily in the town of Kaukauna.

As of 8 a.m. the Kaukauna Utilities outage map shows 207 customers without power, the majority of them just west of Wrightstown.

As of 6 a.m. Thursday, a majority of the town of Vandenbroek remains dark.

WE Energies stated they hope to have it up by 2 p.m.

Vandenbroek officials have a meeting with Outagamie County Emergency Management this morning.

The Harrison Village Hall continues to operate off a backup generator for electric as of Thursday morning.

They also do not have internet or phones.

The front office is open to the public with limited service. The building is available if any residents need to warm up or charge their devices. No timeline has been provided to restore services.
