KAUKAUNA — Heavy snow causing multiple downed powerlines in northeast Wisconsin Wednesday has cut electricity to hundreds of homes in Kaukauna.

As of 11:30 a.m., Kaukauna Utilities outage map shows 132 active outages affecting 486 customers.

Kaukauna Utilities has called in mutual aid partners, which currently are working in the rural north Kaukauna area.

However, due to the damage, the utility says they will need to rebuild the power lines.

Power will be out for awhile yet.

Kaukauna Utilities is posting updates to its Facebook page HERE.

The first reports of power outages came in about 7 a.m. affecting about 300 customers. By 8 a.m., much of the north side was without power.
