GRAND CHUTE — Tradition has it that among their many lifesaving exploits, firefighters can be called on to rescue kittens from trees.

That’s just what happened in Grand Chute.

In a social media post Saturday, the fire department reports that a dog was responsible for letting a kitten out of the house.

The little one climbed a tree and firefighters were called to the scene.

The crew was told that some cats can’t climb down trees due to their claw configuration.

Everyone is safe and sound and happy to be reunited…except maybe the dog, according to the fire department.
