KAUKAUNA — Kaukauna High School senior Lucas Peters signed his national letter of intent last week to study and wrestle at Indiana University in the fall.

Peters will major in Journalism and Sports Broadcasting during his time at Indiana.

Peters has had an outstanding wrestling career for the Ghosts.

In February he claimed the state individual wrestling title at 126 pounds.

Teammate Greyson Clark, who won his fourth individual title last fall, will attend fellow Big 10 school Purdue in the fall.

Peters was also part of the Ghosts’ team that won the state team wrestling title for the third year in a row last March.

Peters will join KHS classmate Mitch Verstegen on the IU campus as freshmen next fall. Verstegen will play football for the Hoosiers.
