HARRISON — Roadwork begins Monday on the Highway 55/10 roundabout south of Kaukauna as well the stretch of 55 from Highway 114 to 10.

Traffic impacts

WIS 55 and US 10 will be CLOSED to traffic from Monday, July 31 to August 11 to complete the work in the roundabout.

The roadway will remain open with flagging operations and shoulder closures for all remaining construction.

Detours

  • US 10 Detour: Motorists will be directed to use County N, and County KK and County D.
  • WIS 55 Detour: Motorists will be directed to use County KK, County N and WIS 114

Project improvements

This is a $1.06 million resurfacing-level project that includes milling and resurfacing along WIS 55 in the project work zone. Work in the roundabout located at WIS 55 and US 10 includes spot curb and gutter replacement, inlet repair, and resurfacing. Crews must close the roundabout to conduct the improvements.

Project Benefits

The existing pavement surface is deteriorating. Improvements will reduce surface roughness and provide a smoother and safer ride for motorists. Improvements will also extend the life of the pavement structure while reducing future maintenance costs. Inlet and curb and gutter work will help move water and mitigate possible flooding of the roadway.
