KAUKAUNA — The Kaukauna Ghosts track and field team has been primarily known for its distance runners and jumpers.
Now add hurdlers to the mix.
Sophomore Amber Gerrits broke the school record Tuesday in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.97 seconds. She finished 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles.
It was one of 11 first-place finishes among the girls and boys teams competing in the JV/Varsity triangular against Appleton North and Kimberly in Kaukauna.
GIRLS
Amber Gerrits won the 100 meter hurdles and finished 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles
Junior Emma Sipple won the 200 meter dash
Alexa Kinas won the 400 meter run and triple jump
McKenna Lowe won the 800 meter run, Josie Greenthal was 5th
Sydney Fauske won the 1,600 meter run, Lauren Pruno was 3rd
The team of Andie Ahrens, Emma Sippel, Abby Kennedy, Ava Hammen won the 4×100 relay
The team of Reese Fauske, Natalie Maes, Isabella Schwartz, Josie Greenthal won the 4×800 relay
Katie Jensen finished 2nd in both shot put and discus.
BOYS
Andrew Milhans won the 1,600 meter run
The team of Andrew Milhans, Raistlin Retzlaff, Maxwel Krueger, Michael Herres won the 4×400 relay
The team of Aaron Schimke, Danny Poor, Noah Laabs, Brody Ritchie won the 4×800 relay
Mason Tiener won the high jump, with Nik Brockman coming in 2nd
