KAUKAUNA — Kaukauna’s Special Olympics Team and River View United Champion School program are raising money by participating in the upcoming Oshkosh Polar Plunge.

The community can support the team going to Menominee Park in Oshkosh for the Polar Plunge and Go Polar for athletes of Special Olympics Wisconsin.

Opening ceremonies for the Polar Plunge are at 11 a.m. on Feb. 11, 2023, with registration from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

(CLICK HERE TO DONATE) As of Tuesday, the team has raised more than $600.

Money raised helps support the program by cover costs of competitions, equipment and transportation. 

Kaukauna Special Olympics offers the sports bowling and track and field to individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Anyone interested in participating in the Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics is welcome to join or donate money to the fundraising page.

Fifty percent of the donations collected from the Kaukauna team will go directly to the River View Unified Champion School program and the Kaukauna Area Schools Special Olympics team.
