KAUKAUNA — Vanna Brockman patiently waits each Wednesday for the city of Kaukauna garbage truck to make its weekly stop at her house.

It’s a highlight of her week, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed by the city worker who drive his rig past her house each week.

But this week was more special than most.

When the garbage truck stopped this week, Vanna was invited to climb up, sit inside and honk the horn.

“My daughter Vanna enjoys watching the garbage truck go by our house every Wednesday,” Vanna’s mother Emily Brockman shared in a Facebook post in the Kaukauna Community group, “and this morning Al surprised her by letting her sit in the truck and honk the horn, along with some ktown goodies!

The post has been liked and shared hundreds of times. See the post HERE.

“She was so happy! Thank you Al & Mayor Penterman for this,” Brockman wrote.

And you can tell by the smile on Vanna’s face that it certainly was the highlight of her week.
