APPLETON –The Appleton Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a homicide that happened in November on Summer Street.

Eric W. Rogers, 53, has been referred to the Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office on charges of first-degree intentional homicide, robbery, and operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent.

Erik B. Hudson, 31, was found dead Nov. 15, 2022 inside of a residence on the 700 block of Summer Street when officers were called to the scene.

At the time, police called the death, “suspicous.”

Rogers has been in custody at the Outagamie County Jail since Nov. 20, 2022 following his arrest for a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

Formal charges and a criminal complaint have yet to be filed in the case according to Outagamie County Court records.

According to court records, Rogers also has an address in the 700 block of Summer Street and currently has two drug charges pending before the court.
