NAPERVILLE – Carroll junior Vanessa Uitenbroek has been named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Indoor Field Student-Athlete of the Week, according to a Wednesday afternoon announcement from the league office.
The Kaukauna High School graduate was the top Division III performer in the shot put last Saturday at the Early Bird Invitational hosted by Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Her throw of 14.64 meters was second overall at the event, broke her own Carroll record and is the top performance in the CCIW this season.
Uitenbroek played volleyball along with track and field during her career at KHS.
