WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Kaukauna Ghosts’ girls cross country team had another strong finish in their third appearance at the WIAA Division 1 State Cross County meet in the past three years.

The Ghosts’ girls finished third, following a sixth-place finish a year ago and a state title in 2020.

Senior Aaron Schimke finished sixth in the boys Division 1 race and junior Andrew Milhans finished 67th.

Muskego won the Division 1 title, followed by Slinger.

The Ghosts were led by Junior Sydney Fauske, who finished 18th overall.
