KAUKAUNA — Rock the Block, the exterior home repair program from Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity, is returning May 12-14, 2022 to Kaukauna.

Rock the Block brings hundreds of community members, volunteers, business owners and organizations together to assist low-income residents by increasing neighborhood pride through exterior home repairs, park clean-ups, landscaping, painting and more.

This year’s event will take place on Kaukauna’s north side in the area including Riverside Park.

The biggest needs heading into the work days are snack providers and more volunteers for Saturday morning (7:45am to 12pm), according to Eric Cernjar, Director, Marketing & Communications, Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity

Volunteers can sign up here:

Snack donations of breakfast items like granola bars, muffins, donuts, fruit, string cheese, Chex mix, etc. are appreciated.

Snacks can be dropped off ahead of time at the Habitat Office located at 921 Midway Road, Menasha, or at the Host Site during the event, located at Holy Cross, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna.

Holy Cross Catholic Church will host a Prayer Walk to celebrate and pray for the volunteers, staff and homeowners participating in Rock the Block. The prayer walk begins from Holy Cross at 7 p.m. Thursday.

These projects improve and beautify neighborhoods, increase property values, and have a ripple effect on all homes in the neighborhood.
