KAUKAUNA — Police are usually the ones doing the handcuffing, but in this case the tables were turned and they were called to free a subject from them.
In a Facebook post Saturday, police say they responded to a call overnight from an person who was playing with handcuffs and had accidentally handcuffed themselves without a key.
Officers didn’t say exactly how they were able to do it, but they freed the person’s hand without issue.
“Handcuff keys are not only used for locking up criminals!” read the post.
Police say everyone had a good laugh, and they also offered this advice:
(P.S. vegetable oil will not free your hands from handcuffs.)
