KAUKAUNA — Jexi’s Restaurant is now open in the former Kaukauna Family Restaurant on Crooks Avenue.

The Kaukauna Family Restaurant has been closed since mid-November while staff battled illness, then owner Besnik “Benny” Asani passed away.

The restaurant announced its opening today on its Facebook page.

The restaurant opens daily at 6 a.m. and closes at 8 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday; 3 p.m. Sunday and Monday.

Jexi’s opened almost 6 months ago in Appleton, but better seating capacity and more parking prompted the decision to move to Kaukauna, according according to Xenia Nieto, who runs the restaurant along with her husband Jose Nieto, sister Eyvis Reyes and brother-in-law Isaías Hernández.

“Today we are thankful for so many wonderful customers, you are the best. Thank you for your support. You asked we listened,” read a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page announcing the move.

“Thank you again for the support, Jexi’s Restaurant,” they said.
