KAUKAUNA — Jexi’s Restaurant in Appleton has announced they will be moving to the former Kaukauna Family Restaurant on Crooks Avenue.

The Kaukauna Family Restaurant has been closed since mid-November while staff battled illness, then owner Besnik “Benny” Asani passed away.

Jexi’s opened almost 6 months ago in Appleton, but better seating capacity and more parking prompted the decision to move to Kaukauna, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

“Today we are thankful for so many wonderful customers, you are the best. Thank you for your support. You asked we listened,” read the post.

Meanwhile, the Appleton location will be open from 6 a.m.-2 p.m. until the new location is ready to open, according to Xenia Nieto, who runs the restaurant along with her husband Jose Nieto, sister Eyvis Reyes and brother-in-law Isaías Hernández.

“Thank you again for the support, Jexi’s Restaurant,” they said.
