KAUKAUNA — A massive corn maze inspired by America’s 250th anniversary, pumpkin picking, scenic hayrides, farm games and more are set to open Sept. 5 at the Schmalz Acres Adventure Zone located at Kaukauna’s Sprangers Orchard.
Located at Sprangers Orchard, W2100 County Road KK in Kaukauna, (DIRECTIONS) the Schmalz Acres Adventure Zone will be a new weekend destination for fall family outings in Northeast Wisconsin.
The centerpiece of the inaugural season is a corn maze inspired by America’s 250th anniversary. Visitors will navigate interactive stations, puzzles, secret ciphers and family-friendly games designed to combine outdoor adventure with discovery. Concessions, snacks and beverages will also be available.
Admission includes a wagon ride and unlimited access to the Adventure Zone’s family games. Attractions include Animal Racers, Punchin’ Pumpkins, Duck Races, a climbable hay stack, The Sand Monster, Gravity Box Basketball and Hen House Hustle. Visitors can also explore the pumpkin patch, seasonal photo opportunities and the neighboring Sprangers Orchard store.
“We wanted to create a fall experience where families can spend real time together-exploring, laughing and making memories outdoors right here in the Fox Valley,” said Alex Schmalz. “The Adventure Zone builds on the Sprangers Orchard traditions families already love while giving them something completely new to discover.”
Schmalz Acres Adventure Zone will operate on weekends from Sept. 5 through Nov.1.
They also are welcoming large group tours on Fridays.
Special events include Sunflower Festival weekends Sept. 12-13 and Sept. 19-20; Fall Festival weekends Oct. 3-4 and Oct. 10-11; and scare-free Flashlight Nights Saturday, Oct. 17 and Saturday, Oct. 24.
Early Bird admission tickets are on sale now for $12 online, plus applicable fees, through Sept. 11, 2026. Gate admission is $15, plus applicable fees. Schmalz Acres Adventure Zone is a cashless venue. Credit and debit cards will be accepted for all on-site purchases. Military members, veterans and law-enforcement officers are eligible for complimentary admission with verification.
