KAUKAUNA — The City of Kaukauna is seeking someone interested in filling the recently vacated seat of an Alderperson in District No. 3 for the remainder of the term (through April 19, 2022).

The City of Kaukauna has four (4) Aldermanic Districts; with two alderpersons elected to each district for a total of eight (8) alderpersons. Council members are elected on a non-partisan basis for two-year overlapping terms. Common Council meetings are held regularly on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. and committee meetings are on the Monday before the Common Council meetings at 6pm.

The City Council takes up various matters affecting the city, such as implementing new policies, enacting ordinances, resolutions, adopting the budget, appointing department head officials, and approving mayoral member appointments to council committees and various boards and commissions

Alderpersons are appointed by the Mayor to serve on the City’s Boards, Committees, and Commissions where members meet in committee sessions to deal with matters relating to those purposes.
