KAUKAUNA — The annual harbinger of spring in Kaukauna known as opening day at Dicks’ Drive-In will be a little different this year due to the ongoing pandemic.

The restaurant will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

According to a post on Facebook, they are asking customers to make the following accommodations:

1. The restroom is not open to the public.

2. The bank side door is for entry and the Family Video side door is for exiting only.

3. We are easing our policy on door handling. You may let yourselves in and out, but we ask that only one person or small group (that are together) be at the order window at a time. When they move to exit the other door, you may open the bank side door and enter. Please keep the door closed between orders. We will sanitize the doors at regular intervals or more often should the need arise.

4. During extremely busy times we may not be able to take call in orders. We will try to accommodate as many as we can. If you do place one, we encourage you to pay by card when you order. There will still be employees bringing orders out to you so if you’ve placed a call in and paid for it, just let one of them know and we can bring your out ASAP.
