KAUKAUNA — The Green Bay Packers will bring the Packers Vs. Cancer initiative to Kaukauna High School on Friday, Oct. 18, when the Ghosts host the Hortonville Polar Bears.

Packers players Tim Boyle, Tony Brown, Tyler Lancaster and Manny Wilkins, as well as alumni Vonta Leach and David Whitehurst, will join fans at the game, which takes place at 7 p.m. at Kaukauna High School at 1701 County Rd CE, Kaukauna. The players will interact with the crowd and throw autographed foam footballs into the stands at the end of the first quarter.

The event will also feature t-shirts, rally towels, and raffle tickets for sale for $10, $5 and $1 respectively. Winners of the raffle will receive autographed Packers items, and 100 percent of the proceeds from the sales will be donated to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation.

Packers Vs. Cancer, presented by Bellin Health, is aimed at raising awareness of all cancers and raising funds to battle the disease, and runs throughout the month of October. The initiative was highlighted last week by the Packers-Lions game, presented by Bellin Health, which recognized cancer survivors on the field during the pregame Ambassador Line and the national anthem.

Packers Vs. Cancer also features a variety of fundraising efforts, including an opportunity for shoppers at the Packers Pro Shop to contribute by adding $1 or more to their purchase that will go directly to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. Those who donate during October have the opportunity to put their name on a special card that will be displayed in the Pro Shop throughout the month.

Additionally, the Packers Pro Shop is selling a new Packers Vs. Cancer New Era knit hat available for purchase now at the Packers Pro Shop, with $5 from each hat sale going directly to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. The winter stocking hat, which will be sold throughout October and into the colder months, features green, gold and white stripes, with the Packers logo on the front and a Packers Vs. Cancer logo on the side. The hat is available in-store and online.

Named for the legendary Packers coach, the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation is dedicated to winning the battle against cancer by funding advancements in cancer research and compassionate care.
