LITTLE CHUTE — The Fox Valley Metro Police Department will be hosting a bike rodeo and open house at from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the police department, 200 W. McKinley Ave., Little Chute.

The bike rodeo consists of helmet fitting with limited supplies of FREE BICYCLE HELMETS available for children, according to a news release.

Officers will be conducting a bicycle safety clinic featuring bike safety inspections, and a safety lecture about the rules of the road. Kids may take part in a “chalk street” course set up in the parking lot.

Children must have a bicycle helmet to participate, according to organizers.

Other activities include an inflatable obstacle course, face painting, and balloon animals. The State Patrol will attend to demonstrate the little convincer seat belt program. Refreshments including free Culvers ice cream, and Carnival Time popcorn will be served.

There will be a variety of the department’s vehicles and other equipment on display giving our citizens the opportunity to take a look at the department’s specialized equipment. Officers will be present to answer questions and meet with citizens.

This event is open to the public and is free of charge.
