KAUKAUNA – Three days of music and celebration will again contribute to a stronger community throughout the year.

Kaukauna’s Electric City Experience music festival announced $13,000 in nonprofit and community investments as a result of its successful June 2022 event. The downtown festival featured five stages of live music, carnival rides, food trucks and more.

The festival was able to put forth significant funding to community groups in spite of smaller attendance figures. Rains led to the cancellation of the Wednesday Hydro Park kickoff concert and also impacted Electric City’s Saturday, which is typically the festival’s biggest day.

Organizers offered thanks to their generous sponsors as well as the City of Kaukauna. In addition to playing host, the efforts of city employees – from public safety to public works and beyond –has been integral to the festival’s ongoing success.

This year’s festival made the following funding possible, which included contributions based upon volunteer efforts:

$2,100 Kaukauna Lions and Lioness Club

$2,000 Oshkosh Area Community Pantry

$2,000 Junior Catholic Daughters of America on behalf of St. Vincent de Paul

$1,500 Guitars 4 Vets

$1,400 Kaukauna Public Library

$1,000 Old Glory Honor Flight

$500 Kaukauna Fire Department

$500 Kaukauna Professional Firefighters Local 1594

$500 Kaukauna Police Department

$500 Friends of 1000 Islands

$500 Walt Hamburger Foundation

$250 Friends of the Kaukauna Public Library

$250 Friends of Grignon Mansion

The festival is slated to return on June 7-10, 2023.
