KAUKAUNA — The Kaukauna Police Department says two people were found dead after police were called to do a welfare check at a residence on the city’s south side.

Police were sent about noon Tuesday, April 5, 2022 to home in the 300 block of W. 10th Street of Kaukauna.

When they went inside, officers located two dead adults, according to a news release from police.

Police provided no additional information on how the two died.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice confirmed the state crime lab’s crime scene response team was called to the scene, but that Kaukauna police remained the lead agency.

At this point of the investigation, police say they believe this is an isolated incident and the public is not in danger.

Police say the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
