KAUKAUNA — Kaukauna Youth Baseball recently raised more than $5,000 to help the youth baseball and softball club in tornado-ravaged Menasha.
A few weeks ago, KYB announced that 100 percent of their concession sales for that weekend would be donated to Menasha Youth Sports, whose facility was heavily damaged in the storm.
The club on Thursday posted to their Facebook page that thanks to an incredible response from their KYB families, visiting teams and the entire baseball community, they were able to present Menasha Baseball with a donation of $5,061.75.
“To everyone who bought a burger, grabbed a drink, volunteered in the concession stand or simply came out and supported the weekend — thank you. This is what youth sports and being good neighbors is all about,” the club wrote.
