KAUKAUNA — Drake’s Place, a northside Kaukauna diner open since November, is set to close at the end of August, owner Drake Decker announced Tuesday.

Decker, who also owners Decker Landscape & Design in Little Chute, says its been a challeng to give the time and attention his other business it deserves while also operating the diner.

“With the opportunity to sign a long-term lease for my landscaping company, I’ve decided it’s time to put my full focus into growing that business moving forward,” Decker shared on social media.

“I love cooking. I love serving food. I love seeing all of our amazing customers. I’m so grateful for everyone who worked here and helped out along the way,” Decker wrote.

Moving forward, this week the diner will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Then, for the month of August, they will be open Friday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 30, will be the final day that they are open.
