KAUKAUNA — Students from the Kaukauna, Kimberly and Little Chute school districts will once again partcipate in the annual Breaking Boundaries Triathlon, an adaptive triathlon designed to celebrate students of all abilities through movement, teamwork and community support.
Sponsored by Kaukauna High School, the event on Friday May 15 brings together student-athletes, peer mentors, staff and partnering school districts for a day focused on inclusion, encouragement, and achievement.
According to a news release, students will participate in swimming, biking and running/walking activities while being supported throughout the course by peer mentors and staff members.
The triathlon will begin at the Heart of the Valley YMCA and conclude at Bank of Kaukauna Stadium at Kaukauna High School.
The Breaking Boundaries Triathlon continues to grow each year while staying grounded in its mission of providing “Possibilities for All Abilities.” The event promotes healthy lifestyles while appropriately challenging students socially, emotionally, and physically in a supportive environment where every participant can experience success.

Friday, May 15, 2026
• 9:05 a.m. — Kaukauna send-off in the Kaukauna High School Commons
• 9:30 a.m. — Depart for Heart of the Valley YMCA
• 9:40 a.m. — Kaukauna students meet participating districts at the YMCA
• 9:55 a.m. — National Anthem in the swim area
• 10:00 a.m. — Swimming begins at the YMCA
• 11:00 a.m. — Most students begin biking portion
• 11:45 a.m. — Most students begin jogging/walking portion
• 12:00–1:00 p.m. — Estimated race completion window
• 1:00 p.m. — Closing group photo and certificate presentation

To ensure safety and success throughout the event, students may complete the course alongside peer mentors or staff members who help guide and encourage them along the way. Thanks to generous community support and donations, participation in the event is provided at no cost to student-athletes or peer mentors.
