KAUKAUNA — Dual-sport Kaukauna High School athlete Jonah Roehrig signed his National Letter of Intent Wednesday to study and play both golf and basketball at NAIA St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.
Roehrig, who held his signing ceremony along with family, coaches and teammates at Kaukauna High School, intends to major in sports management.
The KHS senior helped lead the Ghosts’ basketball team to back-to-back Fox Valley Association championships, with the team advancing to the WIAA Division 1 sectional semifinal this past season, falling one win short of a trip to state.
The St. Ambrose University men’s golf team secured its second consecutive Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship just a week ago, delivering a dominant performance at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.
This spring, the basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament as the No. 6 seed after the Bees shocked the field with an opening-night upset.
