GREEN BAY — A Green Bay landlord has been charged in an alleged sexual extortion scheme involving several of his rental properties.

Michael Zolper, 61, was charged Feb. 9 with sexual extortion involving threats to property or reputation, making threats to accuse of a crime, and two counts of solicitation of prostitutes.

According to a news release, the Green Bay Police Department arrested Zolper on Feb. 6 following a month-long investigation.

The suspect is accused of soliciting sexual acts from tenants who were trying to avoid eviction due to late or missed rent.

He also reportedly sought sexual acts in exchange for allowing tenants to bypass background checks required to live in his buildings.

Zolper was transported to the Brown County Jail without incident.

Investigators are currently seeking to speak with any additional victims who may be connected to the case.
