FREEDOM — Just in time for Christmas, two local Lions clubs have teamed up to build an accessibility ramp for a resident in Freedom.
In the true spirit of service, the Kaukauna Lions Club and the Sherwood Lions Club ramp building crews joined forces recently to make the life changing difference.
According to a social media post, the two clubs built a wheelchair ramp that now provides safe, reliable access to the home of a deserving community member.
They rallied together to give this resident a way to connect with the world beyond their front door and showed them neighbors who care – just in time for the holidays.
“This is also a reminder for club members that service projects don’t just change lives; they strengthen bonds between communities and clubs,” the club wrote in its post
