KAUKAUNA — The Kaukauna Area School District has been recognized with two prestigious honors through the 2025 Top Workplaces program.
The awards are a reflection of the district’s deep commitment to its people, culture, and communication, according to a news release from the district.
KASD was named a recipient of both the Northeast Wisconsin Top Workplaces 2025 Award and the Top Workplaces 2025 Industry Award in Education, a national-level recognition honoring standout organizations within their sector.
The awards were presented at the Northeast Wisconsin Top Workplaces banquet hosted in Green Bay on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
At the event, Kaukauna Area School District also received a special award for excellence in communication, recognizing the district’s ranking in the top 5% of organizations nationwide where employees feel well-informed about important decisions. This distinction highlights KASD’s intentional focus on transparency, clarity, and trust in all aspects of internal communication.
Both recognitions are based solely on feedback gathered through a confidential employee engagement survey conducted by Energage, a leading research company with a mission to help organizations build and celebrate people-first workplace cultures.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
Being recognized at both the regional and national levels reflects KASD’s strong alignment with its core values — being intentional, relationship-focused, and acting with integrity. These honors place the district among a select group of organizations across the country that prioritize a people-first culture and elevate the voices of their employees.
“To be named a Top Workplace, not only in our region, but across the entire nation for our education industry, is an incredible honor,” said Mike Slowinski, Superintendent of Kaukauna Area School District. “These awards are a direct reflection of our incredible staff and the supportive culture we’ve built together. At KASD, we are committed to creating a workplace where people feel valued, heard, and empowered, because when we take care of our people, they’re able to take great care of our students. And ultimately, that is what we are here for.”
