APPLETON — Progress continues at the Ballard Road interchange in Appleton.
The southbound I-41 on-ramp will close Tuesdsay, May 13, and the northbound I-41 on- and off-ramps will close Wednesday, May 14.
All ramps at the interchange will then be closed until late summer.
Commuters are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time to reach your destination.
The Ballard Road bridge over the Interstate was demolished over the weekend.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is reconstructing the Ballard Rd. interchange as a diverging diamond interchange.
The new interchange will accommodate higher traffic volumes, increase safety and include additional bike and pedestrian accommodations. The project will also make improvements to a park and ride facility.
