The Packers have selected the speedster wide receiver from Texas with the 23rd pick of the first round in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Golden, who is just 21 years old, ran the fastest 40-yard dash time among 39 receivers at the scouting combine, clocking a 4.29. He also tied for first among all receivers with a 1.49 10-yard split.
Golden (5-11, 191) caught 58 passes for 987 yards and nine TDs last season at Texas after transferring from Houston, according to the Packers.
He caught 38 passes each of his two seasons at Houston, for 584 and 404 yards, respectively in 2022 and ’23, and 13 TDs. Golden also returned two kickoffs for touchdowns in ’23.
