LITTLE CHUTE — The Wisconsin DNR is currently testing a large number of dead waterfowl removed from a Village of Little Chute storm pond.
According to a social media post, the village said it was addressing the removal and disposal of waterfowl carcasses from village storm pond property.
“The village is working with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as this appears to be associated with Avian Influenza A (H5N1) Bird Flu,” according to the village.
Results are expected within the next couple of weeks.
The mallards were pulled out of the water within one hour and were disposed at the Outagamie County landfill, according to WBAY.
