KAUKAUNA — A widespread snowfall is expected later this afternoon into Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Green Bay.
Periods of heavier snowfall will be possible this evening into early Saturday morning with snowfall rates peaking around 1″/hour.
By Saturday morning area wide snow amounts are forecast to range from 3-6″ with locally higher amounts possible from central to east-central Wisconsin and near Lake Michigan.
Expect temperatures closer to normal today and Saturday, but then it gets cold.
Temps well below normal are expected to continue through the middle of next week. Wind chills down to around 35 below zero are possible across central and north-central Wisconsin Monday and Tuesday morning.
