KAUKAUNA — For years now, science and arts education has been a focus in schools to prepare young people for the tech and creative jobs of the future.

But as it turns out, STEAM — an acronym for science, technology, engineering, art and math — has benefits for learners of all ages.

St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna just completed its first week of STEAM Team classes, according to a social media post.

The classes focus on enriching minds of all ages by using programs and activities in those categories to foster a sense of community and promote teamwork and socialization within our programs and communities.

Memory Connections and Memory Reflections participants enjoyed driving a robot and creating structures using various materials during the first class, according to St. Paul’s.

Christine Cedergren and her Neenah-based STEAM Team will visit the St. Paul’s campus often throughout 2025 to bring more of its innovative programming.
