SHERWOOD – Authorities are investigating vandalism of the iconic rocks at High Cliff State Park.

The Friends of High Cliff State Park posted about the incident Mondayt after the graffiti was discovered.

The cliffs are part of the Niagara Escarpment, a 725-kilometer-long geological feature stretching from Wisconsin to Niagara Falls.

It was formed around 450 million years ago as the bed of a tropical sea in Michigan.
